I can take a few guesses, and I can almost guarantee it was a whole bunch of griping. You know the typical far left wing insults. You don't even need to it see on tv, just read the comments on here from the lefties =D

Why is MSNBC even on the air? Nobody watches it. Neil Cavuto's financial show beats anything on MSNBC. And all they show is prison shows that tries to humanize people who should be killed because they are killers.

I was waiting for more in the story about the hecklers... it's what drew me to the story in the first place. I heard them in the background when I was watching his speech on TV. I'm disappointed. Why mention the heckles if you're not going to write anything else about them. BAH!!

Those hecklers should have know their places: in the free speach zone a couple of miles down the road. How dare they question our glorious leader. Look at what he's done to, I mean, for our country.

Wow! The president welcomes new citizens and some silly people with nothing else to do with their time have to heckle during the ceremony. The new citizens put in their time, money, and sweat to become citizens and I am sure they didn't need nor want to hear these hecklers on their proud day. Some people will go to any lengths to get their pitiful 15 seconds of perceived fame.

Now you know why he only speaks in front of pre-screened crowds or on military bases. This imbecile has done so much damage to the average American that when he comes in contact with them he gets the reaction he deserves. He's an embarrassment and a criminal and he deserves far worse than just heckling.

He hasn't done any damage to me. I just got $1800 in the mail. How do you know what kind of reaction he deserves? Do you know him? Doubtful. All you know of him is what a group of people who generally do not like him decide to tell you (ie: media), and apparently you believe it.

Smitty, I know Bush for what he is DESPITE our so-called free press.

And that $1800 you just got in the mail will be coming back out of your pocket next year when you file your taxes. It's a loan, not a gift. And it was YOUR money to begin with. But this is the crux of the problem with so many Americans. They don't take the time to look at the whole picture. All they know is that they got a check in the mail. What are you going to do with it? BUY GAS? LOL

I guess you all are smart right? I imagine if you were there you could do a better job. It doesn't take brains to find fault. The man isn't perfect - but the job is hard, the complexities are unbelievable - and is it just possible that none of you have ever had anything as difficult to do? Heckling is so cheap, so easy, so "newsworthy." So is fault-finding. What are you doing, not saying, to make things better.

The nation is going to hell in a hand basket. We have to find common ground on which respect and courtesy are the basis of our society, and the ability to respectfully disagree is acknowledged, while the crude and rude, are shown the door.

You may not be old enought to remember that Truman first got us involved in Indochina, and then Eisenhower continued our involvement, and it was actually a pet project of his VP, Nixon(as was the Bay of Pigs incursion). As the 50's wore on and we entered the 60's, our presence got larger & larger, both to attempt to win "hearts & minds" and to atttempt to stem the rising tide of insurgent war by the North Vietnamese, the Viet Minh, and by their neighbors, the Pathet Lao. As the decade "progressed", the flames rose higher: the flames of protesting Buddhist monks, the flames of continuing incursions by the North Vietnamese counterpointed by the flames of brutality fanned by Diem & Nhu. Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Westmoreland, McNamara, they all screwed up in SE Asia. For once the French had it right by bugging out, but of course, they had far more practice at it.

Hugh,it's nice that you learned how to Google. Now you should work on your reading.
Truman, sent the first advisers to Vietnam in 1950.The U.S. was also paying 80% of the French war cost as well as supplying them with weapons and equipment.
John F Kennedy sent the first combat troops. But you probably don't know the difference!
                  Advisers,advise-combat troops kill.

In Dec of 1961 first set of troops were sent in that were said to be "non-combat". Kennedy implemented air attacks and sent in green berets in 1961. Although, special forces were in Vietnam since 1950 to assist and advise. It was the Gulf of Tonkin resolution that allowed and started Johnson to increase military attacks in Vietnam. This resolution allowed him to do so without an actual declaration of war. The ground war as they called it didn't start until Johnson sent around 3500 marines(not sure of the exact number) into Vietnam in 1965.
From the chronology I have seen it depends on how you perceive which set of troops entering Vietnam was the start of the war. Most history books state that the US went to WAR from 1963 - 1969.
I'm not trying to correct anyone so nobody take offense. It just seems that different sources have different years and declarations of when the United States became involved in this war.

I am disappointed in both the hecklers and those of you who choose such vitriolic comments. Now that the results we all wanted are occurring in Iraq (and yes, for you simple minded folks, you can't pre-plan a war nor the outcome of it) you resort to name calling. It's like you are still in Jr. High School.

Has President Bush made mistakes? Certainly. Is there plenty of blame to go around on both sides of the aisle? Yes there is. If Hillary and so many other democrats were "fooled" by Bush into voting for war, how dumb are they? You need to all make up your minds - is he an idiot? Or is he smarter than all the well educated liberals who jumped into war with him?

And I can already hear it - BO didn't vote for the war! Whoop. I think I prefer the guy who got shot down to run the country - even if that doesn't qualify him to be president.

I feel sorry for the new citizens who had their ceremony interrupted by a bunch of inconsiderate juveniles. Naturalization ceremonies are open to the public. I strongly recommend that everyone try and attend at least one. I have attended 3 (one was a private ceremony for a relative). Watching as all those new citizens take the oath cannot be readily conveyed in words.

As for a lesson in free speech, there is a time and place for everything. THIS just wasn't the time or place for protest. And in all honesty, the new citizens I have spoken with, on average have a better understanding of what our country stands for, the freedoms we have here and our own history than the average American born and raised here does. What a shame.

Don't give me that BS. I took the test and I passed with a perfect score. The person who understands LEAST what this country stands for is the imbecile that got heckled, and rightly so, today. The person who lied us into an unprovoked attack against innocent Iraqis (and who is responsible for the death and injury of MILLIONS of same), the person who authorized TORTURE AS AMERICAN POLICY, the person who SHREDDED THE BILL OF RIGHTS, the person who ENDED HABEAS CORPUS, the person whose corrupt administration has sent our economy into a tailspin, the person who subverted the Justice Department to further his own destructive agenda, etc., etc., etc. The list goes on and on.

Don't tell me about what this country stands for. It's very easy to figure out. This country stands for anything and everything George W. Bush doesn't stand for.

You need to get your history straight before calling someone out.
TRUMAN sent the first equipment and advisers in 1950.
EISENHOWER sent billions of dollars worth of equipment and a few hundred advisers but refused to send combat troops or even provide air support.
KENNEDY sent the first combat forces
In 1962 the US had 11,300 troops operating in South Vietnam. The only thing certain about Kennedy's role in Vietnam before he died was that he had escalated America's military, political, and maybe psychological commitment to Vietnam.

                            Very Interesting

Left2 You are so right. And does anyone know why Kennedy put in the troops to combat communism? Because he made such a mess with the Bay of Pigs, and the Cuban Missle Crisis. He told the Cubans he would help them get back into Cuba to fight Castro who had just taken over. They went by boat. They were supposed to have U.S. troops and air cover, bu NO ONE showed up because Kennedy pulled them. Do you know how many were who were trying to fight Castro were killed and/or put in jail? And why Cuba is a communist country now? Thanks to Kennedy. So he tried to make up for it in Vietnam.

RJ Your statements are correct. You also might add that J.F. Kennedy and his brother Bobby (et al) spent their entire personal and political careers helping the middle class, the working man and the lower-income population of this country. Jack and Bobby initiated the Civil Rights Movement which later was enacted as law by LBJ.
Pres. Bush legislation and terms have benefited the elite and corporate America while squeezing out the middle class.

This happens at EVERY event the neoconservatives attend. Maybe these "hecklers" are not the minority any longer? What was that 70% of Americans want our boys home. This is the 4th, remember would George Washington ever be for preemptive war? Go read the Declaration of Independence and Constitution today out of respect and remember why we are this country that used to be loved around the world and welcomed with open arms. God bless America and all the men and women who have died in her name. Have a great 4th.

Most Americans did not want to get into WW II either. I sure wish someone had the foresight to launch a preemptive war against Hitler. Because that didn't happen it cost the world over 40 million lives. It today's terms that might be close to 100 million.

To call for a preemptive strike against a sovereign country is to ask the same for America. Why shouldn't other countries preemptively strike America because they fear our power? Your manner of thinking is moronic.

America is all about human rights and freedom. However, America does not have the legal or moral right to impose such standards on other countries.

My heart bleeds for citizens of other countries who are tortured and otherwise abused. That being said, it is up to the people of those countries to solve their problems.

Careful Mr. cement mason. Your heart may bleed for others, and that may be a noble thing, but I belive your approach is a little contrary to the teachings of a man whose palms once bled for you.

What does your comment have to do with International law and the right of sovereign countries to be free from preemptive attacks?

We're not talking crucifixion or religion here. We're talking International law and the right of sovereign nations.

As usual, per most of the angry comments above, we can see that the Left is alive and well AND stupid. To blame our (USA) current deplorable state of affairs on any one person is sophmoric and ridiculously simplistic. The blame should extend across both Aisles of Congress. Most politicians of all stripes are in it for the power and ?prestige. TERM LIMITS (Constitutional amendment required unfortunately-Not going to happen) to eliminate professional politicians who are so beholden to their various constituencies that ethics, intellectual honesty, etc. are sadly lacking. Add on intolerable entitlements, legislative social engineering (a very significant part of the housing debacle), imbecilic wars, and the arrogance of all our "leaders" vis-a-vis the rest of the world (self-appointed policeman of the world and arbiter of other countries' modus operandi and vivendi); and one begins to questiion whether we can survive as a nation.

I wonder...Were there any 'new' citizens that are of useful age in the military? If so, did they register for the military? ALSO, remember the 16million+ illegal aliens in this country. I say round them up, put 'em in uniform, and send them to Iraq. Shoot. The pay would be better than picking oranges, and they would have full medical benefits. That's better than giving them a free ride and no taxes.

The biased press is at it again. They were berating President Bush for not talking about Iraq. Why does he have to talk about it at a naturalizing citizen program? It is not the hottest topic anymore, because we are winning. The Iraqi's are taking over their own country, and we are helping them to stabilize. What's more to say? Should he have talked about the high gas prices, too? Obama is changing his mind about Iraq, and trying to put a "good" face on it... LIAR....That's what all you liberals call anyone who doesn't agree with you, so tit for tat.
